In 1979, innovators at Columbia University united to address the homelessness crisis in New York City. Their mission was to engage with those often overlooked. Since becoming an independent nonprofit in 1993, Janian Medical Care has focused on developing affordable housing and integrated programs that connect housing, health, and social services for the homeless and vulnerable.
