Our Story
Founded in 2001, Jane’s Due Process emerged in response to Texas's first parental involvement law regarding abortion. This law mandated parental notification for minors seeking abortion care. As Texas's laws have grown increasingly restrictive, Jane’s Due Process has been a steadfast ally, providing a network of pro bono lawyers trained to handle judicial bypass cases for minors. As the first organization in the nation dedicated to this critical work, Jane’s Due Process continues to lead the way in supporting youth navigating complex legal landscapes.
