Our Story

The Jane Bancroft Robinson Foundation was established in 2010 to honor Jane Bancroft Robinson's legacy and commitment to the Methodist Church. This foundation is dedicated to improving the health and overall livelihood of Black women living East of the Anacostia River in Washington, D.C. By focusing on reducing racial, health, and economic disparities, JBRF aims to create a more equitable future for these communities.

Our Impact

JBRF is dedicated to reducing cancer mortality rates among Black women in D.C. by advocating for a healthcare system that provides racially just services. Through partnerships with community-based organizations, the foundation strengthens early intervention and cancer navigation systems, paving the way for equitable health-related careers and economic stability.
