Our Story
Founded in 2013, the Jack London Improvement District is a dedicated nonprofit organization led by a 12-member board representing the diverse interests of the community. This initiative was born from the commitment of property owners, business owners, and tenants who recognized the pressing challenges of crime, houselessness, and economic hardship in the region. The mission is clear: to advocate for stakeholders, fund special projects, and enhance the historic and cultural center of Jack London.
