Our Story

The J. Arthur Trudeau Memorial Center was founded in 1964 by J. Arthur Trudeau and his wife Evelyn, inspired by their commitment to support their son Kenneth and others with developmental disabilities. Over the years, the organization has evolved, expanding its services to include education, employment, and residential support for individuals of all ages. From humble beginnings as a parents' council, the Trudeau Center has grown into a leading human service organization in Rhode Island.
