Our Story

Founded in 1981 by dedicated social activists, Ithaka Land Inc has been a beacon of hope for the most vulnerable members of the Colorado Springs community. Originally established as a refuge for immigrants, the poor, and the homeless, Ithaka has evolved to provide not just shelter, but also a comprehensive support system aimed at healing and recovery. Our transitional housing programs honor the dignity of every individual, fostering relationships and community while working tirelessly toward housing justice.

Our Impact

For over 40 years, Ithaka has supported low-income residents, currently serving around 80 individuals across our properties. Our programs offer safe, affordable, and supportive transitional housing for families, single men, and seniors, empowering them to determine their own paths toward a brighter future.
