Our Story

In October 1977, a vibrant Columbus Day Dinner Dance in Livonia, Michigan, marked the inception of the Italian American Club. Organized by the Italian American Friends of Ed McNamara, the event attracted twelve hundred attendees and raised $5,000 for the Mayor, establishing a legacy of cultural celebration. Today, the club boasts over 1,000 family memberships, dedicated to preserving Italian heritage and fostering community spirit through social and cultural activities.

Impact on the Community

The Italian American Club of Livonia has significantly enriched the social fabric of the city, supporting institutions like Madonna University, St. Mary’s Hospital, and Angela Hospice. Its contributions extend to the Livonia Heart Fund and the St. Louis Center, a home for individuals with developmental disabilities.
