Our Story

It Takes a Village to Educate a Child, known as TAVTEC, was founded by Sonia Marshall-Brown, inspired by her journey as a mother of two children who learn differently. TAVTEC utilizes STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) and disguised learning to help children develop essential social and life skills in a nurturing environment. Recognizing the lack of programs focused on social skills for children with disabilities, TAVTEC aims to create equitable opportunities for individuals with autism and neurodivergent diagnoses while providing respite and support to their families.
