The InSideOut Initiative (ISOI) is a national movement co-founded by Joe Ehrmann and Jody Redman, dedicated to reclaiming the educational purpose of sports. By empowering school communities, ISOI connects student-athletes with transformational coaches, fostering a culture of belonging and focusing on social-emotional character development.

Impact of ISOI

ISOI has successfully developed and implemented its innovative blueprint for systemic change across 17 states. This initiative is not just about sports; it’s about creating cultural change in education and interscholastic athletics. A three-year longitudinal study is underway to measure the impact of these programs on the social-emotional and character development of student-athletes.
