Founded in 1981, Isles, Inc. is dedicated to fostering self-reliant families and creating healthy, sustainable communities in Trenton, New Jersey. By collaborating with local residents, Isles revitalizes neighborhoods through the development of energy-efficient, affordable homes, parks, gardens, and shared facilities. The organization also provides education and training through its alternative high school and green job training center, empowering both adults and youth.

Impacting Lives and Building Futures

Isles has made a significant impact since its inception, with over 1,200 students receiving education and job training through the Isles Youth Institute. The organization has secured $7 million in Neighborhood Revitalization Tax Credit funding, attracting an additional $3 million to Trenton. Isles has helped 660 families purchase or save their homes from foreclosure, remediated 450 homes to be lead-safe, and established 200 community gardens that produce fresh food for local residents.
