Our Story

Founded in 1981, Isles, Inc. is dedicated to fostering self-reliant families and healthy, sustainable communities in Trenton, New Jersey. Through innovative community development and environmental initiatives, Isles shares valuable insights to inspire change.

Impact

Since 1994, Isles Youth Institute has empowered over 1,200 students with education, job training, and essential life skills. With $7 million in Neighborhood Revitalization Tax Credit funding, Isles has attracted an additional $3 million to Trenton, helping to purchase or save 660 homes from foreclosure. Additionally, 450 homes have been remediated to be lead-safe, protecting children from lead poisoning, and 200 community gardens have been established, yielding tens of thousands of pounds of fresh produce.
