Our Story
Founded in 2003 by compassionate residents of Emerald Isle, Island Cat Allies was established to address the growing population of feral cats. This dedicated group united to alleviate the hunger and suffering of these animals, expanding their efforts across the Bogue Banks from Emerald Isle to Atlantic Beach. Through the humane method of Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR), ICA has significantly improved the lives of hundreds of feral cats by providing regular feeding, vaccinations, medical care, and spaying or neutering.
Impact
Under the TNR program, both the cats and the community benefit from healthier, vaccinated cats that cannot reproduce.
