Our Story

The Islamic Association of Long Island, also known as Selden Masjid, was established in 1974 as the first Masjid in Suffolk County, New York. This organization has been a cornerstone for the local Muslim community, providing a welcoming place of worship and a variety of religious and educational services. Significant developments include the purchase and renovation of its building in 1979 and the completion of a new facility in 2013.
