Our Story
Founded in 1985 in Arabi, Louisiana, the Islamic Association of Arabi began as a small masjid known as Masjid Yaseen. Within five years, it established the first boarding Islamic institute in the United States. After Hurricane Katrina in 2005, the community relocated, leading to the re-establishment of Masjid Yaseen in the Dallas Metropolitan area. Today, the organization manages multiple masjids and educational institutions, including Al-Hameed Boys Academy and Amatur Rahman Girls Academy, to meet the growing demand for Islamic education.
