Nadir and Yadirah, both visually impaired, founded Islam By Touch to ensure that Islam is accessible to the blind community. Yadirah's personal journey, having converted to Islam 12 years ago, highlighted the lack of accessible literature in North America, leading to the establishment of this vital nonprofit.

Our Impact

Islam By Touch is dedicated to providing free Braille copies of the Quran and other Islamic literature to blind Muslims and non-Muslims. As the first Muslim organization in North America focused on this mission, the goal is to foster inclusivity and literacy within the community.
