Our Story

In 2005, the City of Irvine recognized the urgent need for affordable housing and convened a housing task force. This initiative led to the establishment of the Irvine Community Land Trust in 2006, aimed at addressing both the production and preservation of affordable housing. Since its inception, the ICLT has successfully created 407 units of permanently affordable housing, ensuring that low-income families have access to stable homes. The recent completion of the Sage Park community added 68 ownership units, further enhancing housing options in the area. In 2017, the ICLT became an independent entity, allowing for more effective operations while maintaining a strong relationship with the City of Irvine.
