Named after Gary's rich steel mill history, IronWorkz aims to bridge equity gaps and empower residents. In the summer of 2023, IronWorkz hosted six impactful workshops focusing on Gary's history, black wealth in America, and entrepreneurship. Exit surveys revealed that 64.8% of participants had never attended a similar event, while 91.9% expressed a desire to learn more. An impressive 97.1% indicated they would attend future events, showcasing the community's eagerness for growth and knowledge.
