Our Story
Irondale began in 1978 as a collective of three artists united by a shared philosophy and aesthetic. In 1983, they established their own theatre company, focusing on creating thought-provoking art that engages audiences. Over the years, Irondale has developed educational programs and conducted thousands of workshops in various non-theatrical spaces. In 2008, they opened The Space at Irondale, a dedicated venue that continues to support emerging artists and foster community engagement.
Impact
For over 40 years, Irondale has served as a vital platform for artists and audiences, creating theatre that addresses contemporary issues while fostering community through educational initiatives.
