Our Story

Established in 2001, SafeNetRx is an Iowa-based nonprofit dedicated to providing affordable medicines to patients in need. In 2007, the organization pioneered the Drug Donation Repository model, allowing for the collection, inspection, and distribution of unused medicines. Together, a national drug donation system is being built to redirect unused medicines to clinics and pharmacies caring for underserved patients.

Impact

SafeNetRx has facilitated the donation of over $135 million worth of medications and supplies, benefiting more than 151,000 underserved patients with free medication.
