About Iowa Humane Alliance

The Iowa Humane Alliance (IHA) was established to combat companion animal overpopulation in Eastern Iowa. Since opening the first non-profit, high-quality, high-volume, low-cost spay/neuter clinic in Iowa on January 14, 2013, IHA has been dedicated to providing affordable spay/neuter services to under-resourced pet owners, shelter partners, and community cat caretakers.

Impact of IHA

Annually, IHA performs between 8,000 to 10,000 spay/neuter surgeries, serving animals from 31 different Iowa counties. Collaborating with 29 animal welfare organizations, nearly a quarter of the animals served are community cats, significantly reducing the population of free-roaming cats.

Why Donate?

Your donation to IHA supports the mission of providing affordable spay/neuter services, crucial for preventing companion animal overpopulation and reducing euthanasia rates. Contributions sustain vital programs and outreach efforts, ensuring all companion animals receive necessary veterinary care.
