Our Story
Since June 2006, the Iowa Foundation for Microenterprise and Community Vitality has been dedicated to bridging the gaps in Iowa's entrepreneurial development system. Through collaboration with Iowa State University centers, the foundation identified critical needs for small business support, including access to equity capital and coordinated resources. This led to the establishment of a new umbrella entity, the Iowa Microloan Fund, designed to foster collaboration among lenders and technical assistance providers. By leveraging existing expertise and resources, the foundation aims to empower microbusinesses across Iowa.
