About the Iowa Foundation for Agricultural Advancement

Since its inception in 1988, the Iowa Foundation for Agricultural Advancement (IFAA) has been dedicated to enhancing the lives of youth involved in agriculture across Iowa. The foundation was established in response to the need for better rewards for young livestock exhibitors at the Iowa State Fair. Initially focused on providing premium sales for Grand and Reserve Champion projects, the IFAA has evolved to offer a comprehensive support system for agricultural youth.

Impact on Iowa's Youth

Today, the IFAA proudly provides over $200,000 in scholarships annually, significantly impacting the educational journeys of young agricultural enthusiasts. With support from notable partners like the Governor of Iowa and various agricultural businesses, the foundation has increased its funding from $50,000 in its first year to nearly $725,000 today.
