Our Story

The Iowa Coalition Against Sexual Assault (IowaCASA) was founded in 1982 by dedicated volunteers and rape crisis centers. Over the years, it has expanded to represent 22 victim service programs across Iowa, tirelessly advocating for survivors of sexual violence and enhancing the support available to them.

Impact

IowaCASA has made a remarkable impact, achieving a 223% increase in the number of sexual assault survivors served since a statewide restructuring of victim services in 2013. The coalition is instrumental in advocating for effective laws and policies that protect individuals affected by sexual violence.
