Initially opening a small pilot site in the Iowa City Sycamore Mall, the museum relocated to the Coral Ridge Mall in 1999, where it has since expanded to feature 18 permanent exhibits. The museum is dedicated to fostering a welcoming atmosphere that encourages children to learn through the power of play.
