Our Story

In 1963, Saul Haas, co-founder of KIRO TV and Radio, witnessed a young girl shivering outside Garfield High School without a coat. This moment inspired him to donate $500 to the principal for immediate use to help students in need. Since then, InvestED has expanded its mission to provide essential support, including food, clothing, sports fees, computers, mental health resources, and more.

Impact

During the 2022-2023 school year, InvestED positively impacted 46,745 students from low-income families, providing $725,000 in direct support to help them Get to School, Engage in School, and Graduate.
