Our Story
Founded in 1988, the Intervale Center manages a 360-acre campus of farmland, trails, and open space along the Winooski River in Burlington, Vermont. This beloved place serves as a hub for enhancing farm viability and land sustainability, influencing food and farming organizations worldwide. For over 35 years, the Intervale Center has led a community food revolution, pioneering initiatives like community-supported agriculture, large-scale composting, food hubs, and farm incubators.
