Founded in 2001 by Dr. James K. Aikins, Jr., International Healthcare Volunteers was born from a vision to address preventable tragedies witnessed during a visit to Ghana. The organization focuses on delivering essential healthcare services to women and their families in underserved regions, conducting annual medical missions to Ghana and Jamaica with a dedicated team of international doctors, nurses, and volunteers.
Since its inception, IHCV has treated over 14,805 patients and performed more than 1,284 medical procedures, significantly enhancing healthcare access for women in underserved areas.
