Our Story
The International Council for Helplines, founded in 1963, is dedicated to inspiring, educating, and accrediting helpline programs that provide essential support to individuals in crisis and emotional distress. Evolving from its faith-based origins, the organization now focuses on crisis intervention, ensuring that effective emotional support is accessible to everyone, anytime. In 2020, a rebranding effort was undertaken to better reflect its mission and vision while upholding best practices in helpline services.
