Our Story

The International Catholic Migration Commission (ICMC) was founded in 1951, initiated by Pope Pius XII, to address the urgent needs of displaced persons following World War II. Over the decades, ICMC has expanded its global operations, focusing on migration and refugee assistance through a robust network of member organizations and local partners. Today, ICMC continues to advocate for the rights of uprooted people, implementing sustainable solutions worldwide.

Our Impact

ICMC has resettled over 500,000 refugees, particularly from Vietnam, and has responded to humanitarian crises like the Syrian civil war and the COVID-19 pandemic. With a strong presence in multiple countries, ICMC provides essential services and advocates for the rights of migrants and refugees.
