About the International Black Women’s Public Policy Institute

Founded in 2009 in Washington, D.C., the International Black Women’s Public Policy Institute (IBWPPI) is a pioneering organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of Black women worldwide. Governed by a diverse group of 18 women from 6 countries and 11 major U.S. cities, IBWPPI focuses on creating and supporting public policies that address the unique challenges faced by Black women and their communities.

IBWPPI has successfully partnered with women in Ghana and South Africa, launching transformative projects that save lives and create opportunities for women and girls.
