International Beit Din

Our Story

The International Beit Din was founded to address the growing crisis of agunot, women trapped in unwanted marriages due to the refusal of their husbands to grant a Jewish divorce (gett). Emerging from a conference at NYU Law School in 2013, the organization utilizes all legitimate halachic tools to free these women from abusive situations.

Impact

With a compassionate and trauma-informed approach, the IBD has successfully freed over 198 women from the status of agunah, providing them with the necessary support throughout the divorce process.
