Our Story
Interfaith Outreach of Carmel was established in 2007 to unite local faith communities in serving those in need in Monterey County. In 2010, it became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and opened the Joining Hands Benefit Shop to raise funds for housing solutions for the homeless. The shop transitioned to a fully volunteer-run model in 2019, enhancing community engagement and sales.
Impact
In 2023, volunteers raised $135,000, distributing grants to 12 nonprofit organizations focused on reducing homelessness in Monterey County.
