Our Story

The LIFT Foundation began in 1966 as a collaboration of business, corporate, civic, and nonprofit leaders to address the pressing need for low-income housing in Kalamazoo. By accessing funding and managing resources, LIFT has filled a critical gap in the community, growing to operate over 600 apartments and townhomes.
