Our Story

The Interfaith Food Center is a dedicated nonprofit organization that has been serving the hungry and homeless in Whittier, La Mirada, and Santa Fe Springs since 1983. Founded by local churches and synagogues, IFC began as a small food distribution center for 30 low-income families. Today, it has grown into one of California's largest food pantries, operating from a 6,800 square foot facility and serving over 1,300 households each week.

Impact

Each year, IFC distributes more than three million pounds of food, providing essential nourishment to families, supporting the elderly, and enhancing children's educational performance.
