Interfaith Assistance Ministry (IAM) has been a beacon of hope for Henderson County residents since 1984. Established by local churches and the Hendersonville Ministerial Association, IAM coordinates vital crisis services to support community members in need. With a mission to assist those facing hardships with compassion and respect, IAM envisions a community united in meeting the basic needs of all its residents.

Impact of IAM

In 2023, IAM provided assistance to individuals and families 83,974 times, serving 80,949 individuals with nutritious food sufficient to prepare 971,388 meals. Additionally, IAM supported 3,800 adults and children with housing, utilities, and transportation, helping to prevent homelessness and protect vulnerable families.
