Intercongregation Communities Association Inc
EIN: 41-0979010 · Minnetonka, MN
Our Story
Founded in 1971, the Intercongregation Communities Association (ICA) began as a grassroots effort by two couples who recognized the growing need for food and clothing in their community. Initially distributing supplies from a house in downtown Hopkins, ICA quickly evolved into a coalition of five churches dedicated to serving their neighbors. Over the years, ICA has expanded its reach and services, moving to a dedicated facility in 2007 and adopting a 'choice' food shelf model in 2014 at its current location in Minnetonka.
Impact
ICA significantly enhances community stability by providing food, employment assistance, homelessness prevention, and financial aid to residents across several Minnesota cities.
