Our Story
Founded in 1989 by actor and director Barry Heins, Interact Theatre Company began as a play reading group in Sherman Oaks, uniting talented stage actors longing for the vibrant New York theatrical community. This intimate gathering quickly evolved into a dynamic ensemble, attracting directors, playwrights, and screenwriters eager to collaborate. By 1992, Interact Theatre Company was officially incorporated as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, establishing a legacy of over forty full-scale productions across various venues in the San Fernando Valley, Westside, and Downtown LA.
