Our Story

Integrated Family Community Services (IFCS) began in 1964 when Maida Navis, a concerned resident of south metro Denver, recognized the struggles of her neighbors. Families were facing financial hardships, children lacked basic necessities, and elderly residents were at risk of losing their independence. This led to the formation of the Inter-Faith Task Force for Community Services, a grassroots initiative aimed at providing a hand up rather than a handout. Over the years, IFCS has evolved into a vital resource for the community, officially designated as a poverty agency in 1968.

Our Impact

Since its inception, IFCS has been dedicated to addressing hunger and ensuring that every individual has access to nutritious food. Collaborating with local partners, IFCS has made significant strides in improving the health and well-being of the community.
