The Insurance Regulator Education Foundation was established in 1990 to honor the legacy of Ken Smith, a former Deputy Director at the Illinois Department of Insurance. The Foundation is dedicated to providing impactful educational opportunities for insurance regulators across the United States and internationally.
Since its inception, over 600 regulators have enhanced their training and knowledge in insurance regulation through the Foundation's programs.
Contributions support the educational programs that ensure regulators are well-trained and informed on critical insurance issues, benefiting the regulatory community, the insurance industry, and the public.
