About the Institute of Election Auditors

The Institute of Election Auditors (IEA) was founded by William Kresse, a Commissioner on the Chicago Board of Election Commissioners and an Associate Professor of Accounting. Established to address concerns about voter confidence in American elections, particularly after the 2016 and 2020 Presidential elections, IEA's mission is to train accountants as Certified Election Auditors (CEAs). This initiative enhances transparency and accountability in the electoral process.

Impact of the IEA

By training Certified Election Auditors, the IEA aims to restore public confidence in American elections. Independent audits are expected to increase voter trust in election outcomes, as surveys indicate that a significant majority of voters believe these audits enhance the integrity of reported results.

Why Donate?

Your donation to the IEA supports the vital mission of restoring public trust in the electoral process. Contributions fund the training of independent auditors, develop educational materials, and support research that promotes transparency and accountability in American democracy.
