Founded by Dr. Keith I. Block and Dr. Penny B Block in 1980, the Institute for Integrative Cancer Research and Education is dedicated to treating the whole person, not just their disease. Inspired by patients who thrived under the Block Center's integrative approach, the Institute was established as a 501(c)(3) charitable foundation to promote innovative cancer treatments and education.
The Institute engages in vital academic research to enhance integrative cancer treatment. Significant projects have led to systematic reviews confirming that antioxidant supplements do not negatively impact chemotherapy efficacy, resulting in 13 published scientific review papers.
