Our Story
The Institute for Educational Achievement (IEA) was founded in 1995 by families seeking the best education for children affected by autism. Under the leadership of Dr. Dawn Buffington Townsend, IEA opened its Education Program in 1996, providing essential educational services to children and adolescents. As a dissemination site of the Princeton Child Development Institute, IEA employs a proven educational model based on decades of research.
Impact
Every day, IEA witnesses remarkable transformations. Children who once struggled to communicate are now expressing themselves, while those who were once withdrawn are forming friendships and enjoying social activities. Many students achieve such progress that they transition to public and private schools, and adolescents gain skills for meaningful employment. Families, once burdened by despair, now enjoy outings and vacations together, thanks to the hope and support IEA provides.
