Our Story

For nearly 60 years, Inspiring Minds has dedicated itself to serving students by providing essential academic support. Throughout the years, the names, faces, ethnicities, and languages of the students have evolved, yet the marginalization they face remains constant. In response to the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, volunteers quickly adapted by implementing new programs to meet the urgent needs of students and their families. This included delivering books and school supplies to 1,075 students, creating a pen pal program to foster connections, and transforming the KidsBridge Summer Learning Program into an engaging at-home experience.

Our Impact

Inspiring Minds empowers students to succeed by prioritizing their needs. By focusing on Developmental Relationships, our programming aligns with the Search Institute’s evidence-based Developmental Assets Framework. This approach fosters close connections that help young people discover their identities, develop essential skills, and learn to engage with their communities.
