The Inner Hero organization was founded by Ambrose R. Russell, who overcame significant challenges in his early life, including the civil war in Liberia. After being raised by his grandparents and later adopted by a Christian family in Ghana, he moved to the United States in 2004. Inspired by his experiences and his wife, Russell established The Inner Hero to mentor youth in the Twin Cities, focusing on building trust between communities and law enforcement.
The Inner Hero has successfully mentored numerous youth, helping them overcome personal challenges and achieve educational and career goals. The organization has built relationships with 17 police departments in Minnesota, fostering dialogue and understanding between law enforcement and the community.
