About InMotion
Founded in 2014 by a passionate group of advocates, InMotion is the first and only center in the nation dedicated to providing community-based programming for individuals with Parkinson’s disease. The founders, including Dr. Karen Jaffe, a Parkinson’s advocate, and Dr. David Riley, a neurologist, envisioned a space where people with Parkinson’s and their care partners could access high-quality physical and emotional wellness programs at no cost. In March 2015, this vision became a reality, and InMotion opened its doors in Northeast Ohio.
Impact of InMotion
Since its inception, InMotion has transformed the lives of over 2,000 individuals with Parkinson’s disease, offering 14,685 classes and facilitating 175,701 class visits. The organization is committed to ongoing community-based research that highlights the effectiveness of exercise and movement therapies in managing Parkinson’s symptoms.
