Established in January 2015, the Indy Black Chamber of Commerce partners with the Anderson Black Chamber of Commerce to serve as a vital resource for Black and Minority-owned businesses. The mission focuses on providing essential business education, financing, and access to capital opportunities, aiming to enhance the economic landscape of the Black community.
Since 2019, over 130 businesses have graduated from IBCC’s educational programs, generating more than $10 million in revenue through contract bids, referrals, and publicity. Additionally, over $1 million has been distributed to approximately 150 businesses through grants and loans.
The primary challenge facing Black-owned businesses is the lack of education, resources, and financing. Donations help IBCC evaluate businesses, provide training, and facilitate access to opportunities.
