Founded in 1940 by Saul David Alinsky, the Industrial Areas Foundation (IAF) is the largest and longest-standing network of local faith and community-based organizations in the U.S. By partnering with religious congregations and civic organizations, IAF builds broad-based organizing projects that foster leadership development and citizen-led action.
