Our Story
Since 2009, the IndoRican Multicultural Dance Project has been a vibrant force in New York City, dedicated to celebrating the rich cultural diversity of its inhabitants. This organization believes that education is the key to fostering global harmony. Through captivating performances and educational outreach, the IndoRican Dance Project brings dance to life for audiences, from classrooms to grand concert halls.
Over the years, the project has collaborated with esteemed charitable organizations, including the Ronald McDonald House and the Leukemia Lymphoma Society, to raise vital funds for individuals battling cancer. Notable achievements include receiving a grant from the City Parks Foundation to perform the signature piece, Taino Reign, at Inwood Hill Park, and being awarded a fellowship with the Aseemkala Initiative to create Taino Calling Song, showcased across the tri-state area.
Despite the challenges of 2020, the IndoRican Multicultural Dance Project has embraced new performance opportunities in 2021, completing the Capacity Fund Grant and continuing to engage communities through performances, educational demonstrations, and live virtual classes.
