Our Story

In 2011, Medad and Connie Birungi brought their son, Omega, to Memphis for life-saving brain surgery. During this challenging time, they connected with Indigenous Advance Ministries, igniting a passion to serve in Africa. Their journey led them to Uganda in 2012, where they partnered with World Shine Ministries, dedicated to raising godly leaders to influence the nation for Christ. Over the years, their commitment to supporting indigenous Ugandan ministries grew, culminating in the establishment of Bethel Youth Ministries and Christian Model Ministries. In 2019, the organization rebranded to Indigenous Advance Ministries to better reflect its mission of advancing the Gospel through local initiatives.

Impact

Indigenous Advance Ministries is dedicated to raising godly men and women through discipleship, evangelism, and support for local ministries in Uganda. The organization significantly impacts communities by spreading the Gospel and providing essential resources, such as Bibles for prisons.
