Founded in June 1930 by Mrs. John N. Carey and a group of passionate friends, the Indianapolis Garden Club has been a beacon of environmental stewardship and community engagement for over 90 years. Initially focused on social gatherings, the club quickly evolved to prioritize conservation efforts, horticultural education, and civic beautification projects. Today, with over 120 dedicated members, the IGC continues to champion the preservation of wildflowers, plants, and trees while enhancing the beauty of Indianapolis through various community projects.
